Inspirations: The watercolors of Agnes-Cecile

I found a link to these videos of some amazing work by Silvia Pelissero (aka Agnes-Cecile)
I love being able to watch her technique, you learn so much when you watch someone paint.

A bit of inspiration…

I love the stylistic elements of this gorgeous animation by Sacrebleu Productions (site is in French)

Inspiration Friday

I have some stuff I’m working on, but it’s been a busy week so I thought I’d mix it up by posting some music videos:

Caro Emerald has a lot of amazing videos, but I particularly like the use of primary colors in this video.

This video is what made me start listening to Andrew Bird in the first place I love the bugs and the animation aspects of it.
and speaking of animation, another Andrew Bird video features parts of a stop motion animation by Lisa Barcy, who taught at SAIC while I was attending: check it out

I love a good narrative song, and narrative videos, they make life worth living. Also for something more crazy and *ahem* empowering, see Amanda Palmer’s Map of Tasmania

And because I can’t stay serious for too long:

WTF? Does Doro think she’s Harrison Ford? That’s the only way I can describe this video…

Animation how I miss thee

What? a post from me not about myself or featuring my “art”?
NO FREAKING WAY! YOU’RE KIDDING RIGHT?

No, I’m not, shut up and check out these awesome animations:

The Oscar Nominated “The Secret of Kells”

I cannot wait to see it!

Also check out “Kirikou and the Sorceress” (Kirikou et la sorcière):

Watching things like this really makes me want to get back to my light table!
