It’s been a while since I broke out my copics, and since my new sketchbook is so insanely cool that markers don’t bleed through I figured now was a great time to do some doodles.
Scifi Disney
I’m doing a series of sketches based on the concept of Sci-Fi Disney. Here are the first couple ladies:
The Little Mermaid/Ariel: Ariel is the princess of subterranean mutants who falls in love with a top-sider during a raiding mission. Ursala, the “witch”, gives her a device that hides her true appearance but it can’t disguise her voice, which would be a dead giveaway as to her real identity.
Sleeping Beauty/Aurora: Maleficent is a rogue AI and the 3 good fairies are robots. Aurora is a girl with a cybernetic brain who gets hooked into the mainframe and put into suspended animation. Phillip is the 90’s style hacker that frees her with his cool catchphrases.

Ok, so I was hanging out in my local Japanese market when I came upon a tube of gold watercolor.
I had to have it, and these are what you get when KP is given gold:
